    I have owned this jacket for 2 and a half years and ridden in everything from monsoon rain, snow (Yes snow) and sun. The quality is very good. After 2 years I got a little water penetration between the end of the sleeve and the inner waterproof liner (the last 3 inches of the sleeves). This was solved by re water proofing the shell. Of note I never had a drop of water anywhere else. The removable liners work well down to below freezing and it’s reasonably cool up to 30 degrees c (above that you want a mesh jacket anyway).

    What prompted me to write this review (my first ever) is I was hit by a car today at 40 miles an hour and flew through the air and landed on my right shoulder and slid, rolled and tumbled destroying my Ducati 848. The Richa Rix-2 performed better than anyone could hope. Although the outer shell was torn and ripped nothing went all the way through to me and I have no bruises or marks where the jacked covered. The CE armor is excellent! The marks on the jacket show there was enough force to break my collar bone and elbow, yet I felt almost nothing.

    When I brought the bike into the dealer to be repaired I purchased another Richa Rix-2. After all; what more could you ask of a jacket. The worst happened and it performed flawlessly.
