Weighing only 870 grams, the Hit Air MLV-Y Vest has an inflation time of just 0.25 seconds - faster than the blink of an eye. (This harness type air vest is recommended for use over a body protector when used in equestrian pursuits.)

All Hit-Air motorcycle airbag jackets attach to your motorcycle via a key box / ball system that allows for easy movement whilst on the bike. To trigger the airbags to inflate a force of more that 30kgs must be applied, pulling away from the key box attachment. A force such as this will not occur just by you moving around on the bike, but will be generated in the event of a crash as you are suddenly thrown off. From this point it takes a mere 0.25 seconds for the Hit-Air MLV airbag motorcycle jacket to be fully inflated, protecting the entire torso and neck from the initial impact of a crash. The CO2 gas cartridge, the driving force behind this sudden inflation, can be replaced for a small cost after an accident.
