Bikers Koln Gore-Tex Glove
Over the years Bikers – Comfort in Action has specialised in producing winter motorcycle clothing. Every Bikers motorcycle glove therefore benefits from a breathable Gore-Tex lining to guarantee your hands remain dry and comfortable in all conditions. Furthermore, all Bikers gloves include a Thinsulate thermal lining to keep your hands warm on those cold winter days.
The Bikers Koln Gore-Tex is a full length motorcycle glove that has been constructed from a mixture of leather and Nyspan. The inner of this glove is lined with Thinsulate for warmth whilst the hard shell knuckle protectors offer great impact protection. Additionally, other features include an Elasticated wrist, Velcro strap closure and zip cuff closure.
Features of the Bikers Koln Gore-Tex motorcycle glove include:
Gore-Tex:
Only dry gloves keep hands warm, and only with warm hands can truly you enjoy winter sports and winter motorcycle riding. Gore-Tex membrane guarantees to keep the water out whilst at the same time allowing moisture from inside the glove to easily escape and be evaporated. The key advantages of this are:
The Gore-Tex membrane is fixed between the outer shell and the insulation for a glove that is breathable and 100% waterproof. A must have in wet winter conditions.
Thinsulate Thermal Lining:
Thinsulate fibers are about 15 micrometres in diameter, which is thinner than the polyester fibers normally used in insulation for clothing such as gloves or winter jackets. Thinsulate is more effective due to the increased density of fibers with decreased size of fibers compared with more traditional insulation. Like most insulation materials, the gaps between fibers not only reduce heat flow, but also allow moisture to escape. The insulation properties are beneficial for retaining some of the heat produced by the body for comfortable warmth while the moisture produced, e.g. by sweating evaporating.

I brought these, Bikers Koln gloves, as a result of a reading a test in a popular bike magazine. Last week I came off my bike at 40 mph on sheet ice. The Ambulance crew said that the build quality of my gloves had undoubtedly saved them having to reconstruct my hand.
I think that says it all.

I own gloves from many manufacturers including Alpinestars, Held, Spada and Vanucci and these are far and away the most comfortable gloves keeping my hands toastie warm in the depths of winter but still providing amazing feel (unmatched by other thick stodgie winter gloves). They keep the wet out to a degree but the inside has started to become moist after riding in rain for a prolonged period (though they are 2 years old now), though they still remain warm. I have a relatively large palm in comparison to my short fingers and think this gloves fits me perfectly. Overall like I say v comfortable, great feel but minimal protection esp. on the palm (there is a double layer of leather on the side of the hand but that's about it)
